Phyllostachys bambusoides Castilloni Bamboo Plant

Phyllostachys bambusoides Castilloni is a very fast growing bamboo with large yellow canes with green stripes which are shown off well as the leaves usually start half way up the canes. Will grow well in a pot or for best results plant in the ground and allow plenty of space! This Phyllostachys is an ideal specimen or hedging plant as it clumps well growing to well over 6m tall but has fewer culms when younger than other Phyllostachys. Plant in full sun or part-shade and keep well watered for the first few years in summer.
