Musa Basjoo Hardy Banana Banana Plant

Musa basjoo or Japanese Hardy Banana is an extremely popular, root hardy Musa banana that can be left outdoors all year round. Bright green leaves and fast growth make this the perfect banana for the UK. Simple winter protection will produce Musa basjoo banana plants up to 10 ft+ tall which sucker easily.

VERY IMPORTANT - Whilst we take every care to package these correctly, due to their delicate nature, the trunks can snap or be damaged in transit which reduces their height. The plants will be fine as they grow very quickly but will take the summer to regain their height. Whilst the majority arrive with no problems, if these are sent with a carrier we cannot guarantee the trunk heights on arrival. Available from March 2010 in 18 Litre pots with trunks 70-100cm tall. These plants were 300cm tall before being cut back for winter!
