Strelitzia reginae Bird of Paradise

Strelitzia reginae or Bird of Paradise has paddle-shaped green leaves and produces vivid orange and blue, bird like flowers when 3-4 years old. It is a very easy to grow banana like plant and can be planted in part-shade or full sun if well watered. Strelitzia can be grown in a well-lit room all year or sheltered garden from May to September and is worth space anywhere you have available. Very easy to grow and worth the effort.
