Malus domestica 'Laxton Superb' is a classic late season English Apple variety with a sweet tasting fruit ins eason from November to March. This variety is self-fertile but like most apples, will produce a heavier crop if pollinated by another tree. It generally crops heaviliy biennially rather than annually. Fruit is best harvested in early November and the tree is fully hardy including frost resistant flowers. Very easy to grow for full-sun to part-shade in any well-drained but moist soil (not waterlogged). Best pruned to 5 or 6 buds on the lateral branches for best results.
