Prunus persica Tree

Prunus persica or Peach trees are hardy deciduous & well known trees which produce edible peaches in the UK. Peaches must be grown in full sun if they are to ripen on the tree in either pots or in the ground in a well-drained alkaline soil. Adding lime if you have acidic soil is essential. Peach trees will blossom in early spring and fruit will follow in summer. Prunus persica can be trained against a wall, grown in a pot, pruned or left to grow into a tree up to 12 feet tall.
