Arundo Donax Versicolour Variegated Spanish Reid

Arundo donax versicolour or Variegated Spanish Reid is a cross between a bamboo and a grass and grows very quickly to over 2m tall. Arundo donax versicolour will grow well in the UK but does need a sheltered site and less harsh winters. They are best protected in winter or grown in a pot and brought into unheated shelter. The rate of growth and spread is less here and can be planted without the threat of invasion! The leaves are a striking green & white and look stunning in any garden. They will die down for winter before re-growing from spring onwards. Ideal for planting in the ground or in containers.
