Chamaerops Argentea is a variety of European Fan Palm and is an evergreen, low maintenance palm tree from Southern Europe hardy to about -10°C or more when mature. They look very similar to the more usual Chamaerops humilis but their leaves are more blue, somewhere in between C. humilis and C. cerifera and not very common. Although they are slow growing, they look very attractive with narrow fan like leaves, even when young. Usually grows multiple trunks with sharp spines on the stems. Chamaerops argentea can be planted in very windy locations which do not seem to effect the leaves.
An excellent palm for outside, available now in a 10 Litre pot 100-110cm tall inc. pot.
