Product description:

Fatsia japonica or False Castor Oil plant (not to be confused with the Castor Oil Plant, Ricinus communis which is toxic) is a hardy tropical-looking shrub often grown indoors for the wide leaved foliage. It is also perfect for providing structure in a garden all year round even in deep shade. They grow to height of up to 3m and are often even wider tending to sucker as they mature. The new plants can then be divided to create new Fatsia for free! They are best planted outside in spring to allow them to establish before frosts again. Plant in a sheltered place from full-shade to sun in any soil and water and feed in the growing season. Hard frost can occasionaly damage the leaves but a mulch around the base in autumn fully protects the plant. Very easy to grow and low maintenance.
