Viburnum tinus  

Viburnum tinus is a useful shrub with evergreen dark-green oval leaves. Crimson red flower buds open open to white with pink shading flowers from late autumn to spring. A very useful mid-border shrub for growing as a specimen, group planting or for planting 80cm apart as an informal flowering hedge. Grows to 1.5mx1.5m (5 ft) and best in full-sun to light-shade in all soils except extremely dry.
