The Red Horse Chesnut is a very majestic tree that is the smaller and showier relation to the more common form. Upright heads of large red flowers appear during May, that later form smooth coated 'conker' fruits in Autumn. Performs best in full-sun to part-shade in any well-drained soil. Height and spread in 20 years 5mx4m (16ftx13ft).
