Betula var. jacquemontii or White Stem Birch is an upright tree noted for its dazzling white stems that are attractive all year round. Yellow-brown catkins grow in Spring and the fresh green Summer foliage turns a rich gold in Autumn. Looks superb planted as a specimen or in groups. Grows best in full-sun to part-shade in any well-drained soil. Height and spread in 20 years 6mx2.5m (19ftx8ft).
