Prunus dulcis Tree

Prunus dulcis or Almond trees are hardy deciduous & well known trees which produce edible almonds in the UK. Almond trees are grown for their beautiful pink/white early spring flowers and Autumn coloured leaves with the added benefit of producing almonds. Almond trees will blossom in early spring and fruit will follow in summer. Best grown in well-drained soil in full sun and to look their best can be pruned in mid-spring.
