Alocasia Calidora Aroid

Alocasia calidora which will grow happily outside in the UK most of the year round. When the temperature drops, this taro usually goes dormant and it is advisable to bring it inside and keep very dry. Grows up to 7 feet in height with large shield shaped leaves up to 3 feet across! Grows in full sun or even up to 80% shade. Alocasia calidora is a hybrid of Alocasia odora x Alocasia gagaena originally crossed at Aroidia Research by LariAnn Garner. Alocasia calidora contrasts well with the darker Colocasia.
